PCDO TRAINING SCHEDULE FOR AUGUST

The  Provincial Cooperative Development Office, being an Accredited Training Provider of CDA is getting ready for the expected demand of trainings for cooperative officers as mandated in the Authority's Memorandum Circular #2011-27.

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY SEMINAR FOR COOPS

May 8, 2012 was marked the day for Business Opportunity Seminar for cooperatives.  It was organized and sponsored by the Provincial Government of Bataan  through the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) in coordination with Home Development Mutual Fund (PAG-IBIG Fund).  On the said seminar, Pag-Ibig Fund launched the  Group Housing Loan Program which aims to encourage cooperatives to get involved in the provision of housing through land development and house construction. The program is beneficial not only to the cooperatives but most importantly to their members who can own homes at affordable costs and reasonable terms.

        Resource speaker was Ms. Elaine G. Pecson, Single Point of Contact (SPOC), Relationship Officer of HDMF. Cooperatives who were able to attend the seminar were, among others,  Tapulao MPC, Iwahori MPC, Mariveles Women's MPC, Lingap Kapwa MPC, Mariveles Public Market Development Coop, Sunny Marketing Coop, and Montemar Employees Credit Cooperative.

PCDO intends to conduct more Business Opportunity Seminars like this that will help strengthen cooperative’s  financial stability and power.

Abucay MPC Pasalubong Shop and Mini-Mart - New Income Generating Project-(IGP)

Abucay MPC is proud to announce the opening of the Abucay Pasalubong Shop and Mini-Mart along Decena Avenue, corner Roman Super Highway, Barangay Gabon, Abucay, Bataan.  The Pasalubong Shop, the latest IGP embarked on by Abucay MPC intends to promote the best of the best from Bataan mostly produced by our members as well as provide grocery and other items for the convenience of foreign and local tourists, motorist and member-consumers.  The IGP will not only generate additional income for Abucay MPC but also help boost the business of our members.

The Pasalubong Shop, which is duly accredited by the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Tourism, operates as a souvenir shop and convenience store and is open daily (Monday - Sunday) from 7:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.  It showcase the delicacies and pride of Bataan such as Araro, Spicy Pusit and Dilis, Casuy, Espasol, Smoked Fish, etc.  It also offers souvenir items, Brooms, Grocery items, Soft Drinks, School Supplies.  Recently, Abucay MPC installed a coffee vending machine which dispenses hot coffee or choco for a very affordable price of only Php 5.00 per cup.

The shop building was turned over to Abycay MPC effective July 2011 by the Abucay Garden Cafe and Restaurant owned by Mayor Ana D. Santiago to allow Abucay MPC to partially recover its investment.  Also, a Lease Contract was executed with Mrs Erlinda San Miguel for the use of the lot wherein the building is situated.

After some repair and improvement in the structure by Abucay MPC, the Pasalubong Shop, had a soft opening last December 01, 2011 and blessing of said IGP was officiated by Msgr. Victor Ocampo of the St, Dominic de Guzman Parish Church last December 08, 2011.  Abucay MPC extends its special thanks to Broadway Salon for the flowers and Agua Zcarina for pure drinking water during blessing.

Balanga City, Bataan-  Pinarangalan ang Abucay Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AMPC) bilang 2011 Most Outstanding Cooperative noong Nobyember 11, 2011 sa pagdiriwang ng Cooperative Month Celebration. Ginanap ang nasabing pagtitipon sa Bulwagan II ng Lungsod ng Balanga. Mula sa pitong (7) kwalipikadong  kalahok, nanguna ang AMPC pumangalawa ang Iwahori MPC at sa ikatlong pwesto ang Dinalupihan Economic  Community MPC.

Abucay MPC Officers kasama sila Azucena E. Sugatain ng PCDO, Editha S. Capili at Nelson D. Evangelista ng CDA at si Gov. Enrique ‘Tet’ Garcia, Jr. ng igawad ang parangal.

Bukod pa dito, dalawang karangalan pa ang naiuwi ng AMPC – Best in Saving Mobilization at Best in Leadership and Management. Sa kabuuan, nakatanggap ang kooperatiba ng 3 plake ng pagkilala at kabuuang halaga na Php 25,000.00. 

Ang karangalang natamo ng AMPC sa taong ito ay patunay lamang na matagumpay at matatag ang kooperatiba. Ang pagsisikap at pagpapa-unlad ng kooperatiba ay naging mabunga dahil na rin sa sama-samang pagsissikap ng mga namumuno at miyembro nito.
