OPERATION TULI STRIKES AGAIN!

BEWARE YOUNG BOYS!

IN ADHERENCE TO THE 7TH PRINCIPLE OF COOPERATIVISM THAT IS CONCERN FOR COMMUNITY, IWAHORI MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE (IMPC) HAS COMMITTED TO ORGANIZE AND CONDUCT “OPERATION TULI” EVERY YEAR AS PART OF ITS SOCIAL SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY WHERE IT OPERATES.

IN ITS 4TH YEAR, “OPERATION TULI” WAS ORGANIZED AND HELD ON APRIL 18, 2013 IN MARIVELES HEROES HALL, POBLACION, MARIVELES, BATAAN.  REGISTRATION STARTED AT 8:00AM AND THE ACTIVITY LASTED UNTIL 2:00 IN THE AFTERNOON. IT WAS FACILITATED BY IMPC’S HARD-WORKING MANAGER, MARILOU ALMARIO AND ITS DEDICATED BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN COOPERATION WITH MARIVELES HEALTH OFFICE HEADED BY DR. CLEOTILDE CONCEPCION, WIFE OF MAYOR JESSE CONCEPCION. THERE WERE OVER 90 VOLUNTEERS FROM SAID OFFICE AND APPROXIMATELY 300 BOYS FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE TOWN BENEFITTED FROM THIS PROJECT.

AMONG THE MANY COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL SERVICES OF IMPC ARE MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSIONS, BLOOD LETTING AND FEEDING PROGRAM.  IT ALSO SUPPORTS THE LOCAL BARANGAYS AND MUNICIPALITY OF MARIVELES FOR PROGRAMS INVOLVING PEACE AND ORDER, ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN AND PROTECTION OF ENVIRONMENT SUCH AS COASTAL CLEAN-UP, WASTE SEGREGATION, TREE-PLANTING, DREDGING OF CANALS AND STREET CLEANING. IT ALSO HELPS IN THE ACTIVITIES OF SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES IN THE AREA.  IT ALSO DONATES 1 CAVAN OF RICE EACH TO THE 12 BARANGAYS OF MARIVELES EVERY YULETIDE SEASON.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE AS WELL THAT BECAUSE OF THE UNSELFISH COMMITMENT TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY, IMPC BAGGED THE 2012 GAWAD PITAK MOST OUTSTANDING COOPERATIVE 1ST RUNNER UP FOR NON-AGRI CATEGORY FROM LAND BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES AND IS NOW VYING FOR CDA’S 2013 GAWAD PARANGAL MOST OUTSTANDING COOPERATIVE FOR MEDIUM CATEGORY.
