2012 was marked the day for Business Opportunity Seminar for
cooperatives. It was organized and sponsored by the Provincial Government
of Bataan through the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) in
coordination with Home Development Mutual Fund (PAG-IBIG Fund). On the
said seminar, Pag-Ibig Fund launched the Group Housing Loan Program which
aims to encourage cooperatives to get involved in the provision of housing
through land development and house construction. The program is beneficial not
only to the cooperatives but most importantly to their members who can own
homes at affordable costs and reasonable terms.
Resource speaker was Ms. Elaine G.
Pecson, Single Point of Contact (SPOC), Relationship Officer of HDMF.
Cooperatives who were able to attend the seminar were, among others,
Tapulao MPC, Iwahori MPC, Mariveles Women's MPC, Lingap Kapwa MPC, Mariveles
Public Market Development Coop, Sunny Marketing Coop, and Montemar Employees
Credit Cooperative.
